Granutools Anti-Obsolescence program

This article explains what Granutools offers and what our anti-obsolescence program is about.

Granutools Anti-Obsolescence program

Climate change is the major challenge for our world today.
Granutools offers solutions for powder handling by applying science to industry, but we are doing more than that.

We act against obsolescence

We go against the current while most companies make money by replacing part before they should. They do this to ensure recurring revenue; they want the same business model than software suppliers: they want continuous revenue stream.

At Granutools, we don’t replace parts before they should. In fact, we propose to almost never replace parts because we want your hardware to be bombproof and last for 20 years. As an example, the first GranuPack was sold in 2011 and still works today with the original hardware.

Instead, we propose a 18 months software renewal scheme. Each system will be fully compatible with the new software, which will be faster, more precise, more user friendly and geared with new functionalities.

As a matter of fact, the newest GranuDrum software provides a 40 times faster handling of data in parallel with measurements, while the future version will offer a new cohesion measurement based on spatial fluctuation to complement the existing one.

More and more software will come with faster development and no obsolescence. This not only impacts the planet, but it also reduces your Cost of Ownership.

We deliver high quality

Our instruments are handmade, calibrated, tested, and certified within our premises. All parts are eye checked and remeasured on site before assembly.

Installation takes place under the direct supervision of the engineer who assembled the instrument. Instruments are CE and GMP certified.

Extra requirements are discussed with individual customers on a case by case.

We work with local suppliers

Although we serve customers all over the world, individual parts are handmade and produced within 20 km range with small suppliers with whom we have long term relationships.

The Covid crisis taught us about the importance of the supply chain as well as its fragility. We grew stronger!

We are looking forward to connect with more business partners who share similar values and wants the world to be a better place.
