Granutools' team will attend the Additive Manufacturing User Group Conference

The Additive Manufacturing Users Group (AMUG) is an all-encompassing technology users group dedicated to the advancement of additive manufacturing technology.

They organize the AMUG Conference that brings together professionals from around the world to share knowledge and experience in the field. The conference is open to the owners and operators of commercially available additive manufacturing and 3D printing technology, and features educational sessions, training, and an expo where attendees can explore the latest products and solutions in the industry.

Workshop: Physics of Powders for Additive Manufacturing

This workshop will set the fundamentals of powders interactions, the influence of the environmental conditions and how to measure powders in a relevant way.

Together with the audience, Dr. Giuseppe Del Sorbo and Filip Francqui, from Granutools, will realize simple experiments with safe powders to illustrate fundamental principles.

From there, they will introduce common techniques used in powder labs to classify powders to differentiate cohesive from non-cohesive ones. They will bridge the gap with additive manufacturing to show what matter most when it comes to powder bed based additive manufacturing.

Finally, they will discuss challenge those properties like shape and density.
