This research delves into the critical role of composite sulfur powders in improving battery performance, offering an alternative to traditional lithium-ion materials. Sulfur's high theoretical capacity makes it an attractive choice, but its poor conductivity necessitates the addition of carbon, reducing specific capacity. Composite materials, achieved through sulfur fusion into a porous carbon matrix, hold the key to increased capacity and conductivity.

This study utilizes the GranuPack instrument to compare bulk densities of sulfur/carbon composites and dry-mixed powders. Results reveal improved capacity with enhanced bulk density, offering insights for battery advancements, particularly in dry manufacturing conditions.
